It has been necessary to condense and even to omit much that has been found in order to bring the work into the limits Of a Single volume; but every effort has been made to give the best items and in the fairest manner so as to make the work a delight and pride to the greatest number. It is much larger than we estimated.<br><br>Several esteemed families are omitted because the connection Of their lines with the stock Of Simon and George could not be substantiated; and many individual records are impossible to place.
