The People In Trinidad Saw It As An Impossible Mission But I Was Determined To Island-Hop All The Way To America Or Die Trying. Haunted By A Learning Disability And Driven By A Dream That Wouldn'T Die At Age Sixteen After The Untimely Death Of My Mother I Cast My Faith To The Wind. With No Money Connections Or Travel Experience I Cast Away With Passion And Blind Faith Aboard A Small Ship Determined To Island-Hop Through Twenty-Nine Different Islands And Make It To The U.S. I Had No Idea Of The Dangers That Awaited Me. My Consuming Obsession To Get To New York Get Married And Become A Successful Singer/Songwriter Was Stronger Than All The Odds Against Me. Nothing Could Have Prepared Me For The Mission I Was About To Undertake.
