Description: Focusing on the ontological indwelling of God as the basis and ground of the soul the author expounds its capacity for spiritual experience which he describes metaphorically as being with Christ in paradise. Aspects of mystical experience are briefly discussed an extended description of the authors own experience is presented and practical suggestions are offered to the reader for his or her own spiritual enrichment. Thrasher has served as a pastor of churches in Virginia and North Carolina and taught philosophy and religion at various colleges and universities as an adjunct professor. He holds a BA from Baylor University a MA in philosophy from the University of Missouri-Columbia a MDiv from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary a DMin from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia. He is the author of Jesus Christ Is With Us and a collection of pastoral prayers. Now retired he is active in his local congregation.
