WOKE

<p>Freedom justice and equality absent being equitably accessible and evenly distributed become shallow political premises that mock liberty. The author through the use of poetic prose has interrogated what said principles look like or sometimes feel like to those who have bravely questioned circumstantial structures that deny them some of those basic rights. Minorities women and those of unpopular religious conviction sometimes fall to the margins of societal importance. Poems that touch on love and humor too provide a counterbalance to the status quo. These older and newer poems provide a breath of fresh air to that which is still stale in these times.</p>
