Women and Peacebuilding

Despite women’s huge participation in peacebuilding in Rwanda they are still culturally and socially challenged in Rwandan society. They are perceived as mothers and caretakers and as such their roles are limited to the domestic sphere. Thus there is still a need for interventions like sensitization of different stakeholders to mitigate all these challenges. This book looked at the role of women in peacebuilding in Rwanda. It further recommends how to mitigate the challenges faced by women in Peacebuilding.
