The book titled “Women Empowerment in Rural Local Landscape of Bangladesh” talks about the socio-economic status of women and the obstacles to women’s representation in the rural local governments (UPs) in Bangladesh. It also highlights some effective measures to get better the situation. Modern society cannot survive without women’s development. The role of women in leadership has been a point of contention at the local level. Furthermore it plays an important role in decision-making education jobs politics and other fields. Besides this analysis is a contribution to the fight for equal rights of women’s involvement in local government.
