Women Empowerment Through SHGs : A Case Study of Jalgaon District of Maharashtra

The Publication titled “Economic Empowerment of Tribal Women through SHGs” is a luminous attempt to understand the contribution of SHG in the economic empowerment of tribal women. It is well known to all that women is the backbone of any society who carry the responsibility of building up the future of a nation. Their proactive participation in all plans projects and schemes is very important to enhance the efficiency of the family society and country. But in practice it has been observed that Women in general and tribal women in particular often face abusive situations due to low socio-economic conditions domestic violence and exploitations. They face resistance while participating in different activities due to sharing of responsibilities at family level. They also face barriers due to bias and discriminatory behavior of the society.
