Women from Poverty to Power : Anthropological Reflections on Social Mobilization Capacity Development and Capital Formation

In this book the author attempts to give an ethnographic account of the following crucial questions: What kept the women in poverty? How did they get critical understanding of their social and cultural realities? How did poor women from different social backgrounds overcome the social stigmas and cultural obstacles suppressive beliefs attitudes and poverty? How did they navigate their way to the formation participation ownership and leadership of their collective spaces and how could they alter existing power relations in a caste-ridden faction - ridden and famine ridden area? How actually do human reason attitude aspiration and aptitude is liberated harnessed and enhanced in the study area context? What are the ways poor women acquiring cooperative productive and managerial and leadership competencies? How knowledge and best practices practical solutions to poverty and caste associated issues are produced? and how do the flow of these ideas and practices scale-up across different levels of human societies and existence?   What are the anthropological reflections conceptions frameworks and ethnographic insights conceived and articulated by the author while describing and explaining the UNDP-GO-NGO partnership in rendering social guidance to the poor women through the facilitated processes of social mobilization capacity development and capital formation among the poor women in the SAPAP project area?
