Working Conditions of Sales Personnel in Retail Establishments

The aim of the present book is to study the ‘working conditions of sales personal in retail establishments in Visakhapatnam city Andhra Pradesh. There is a lot of scope in modern retail industry for creating employment. As its vast potential in the economy and several new players are showing interest there is a need for focusing attention on this sector especially on employment conditions. It is expected to provide millions of jobs for the youth and educated and also qualitative work environment to the people working in the enterprises in different areas. There is vast literature on retail market in the form of articles comments etc. However no study has been conducted in Visakhapatnam city on working conditions of sales personnel in general business textiles jewellery and electronics and electrical retail establishments. The present study tries to fill these gaps at its best level and taken up with a view to suggest some pragmatic solutions and to probe into the working conditions and employment related problems of these employees.
