World of Hoverfly

The hoverflies form a family of diptera (insects with a pair of wings like flies) well known because they are very widespread in spring and summer in our gardens hovering above pollen flowers but whose we never remember the name or worse that we mistakenly take for small wasps because of their abdomen often streaked or stained with yellow and black. A parade to keep a few predators at bay? Probably ! It must be said that these harmless little flies only have their ability to change direction very quickly to escape the appetite of sparrows and other roles with this incredible little fly will see in this book.
