When the photos are seen by Clay he is forced to reconcile what he sees in them with Carly's account. Roles are reversed when Carly having opposed the house purchase out of skepticism of Clay's real motives and angry at the extortion attempt advocates for it while Clay seeking to avoid further pain argues for abandoning it.</span></p><p><span style=background-color: rgba(255 255 255 1); color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>Planted evidence leads to charges a trial a conviction and imprisonment with Clay left alone to endure the consequences of Carly's decision to complete the house purchase.
