Written Out of Spite” is a collection of poetry written with silent nights and heavy days instead of a pen. An extremely personal collection dealing with love loss self- doubt self-sabotage gender expression rage femininity power mental illness sexual trauma among all the other things humans so closely hold with an ache in their hearts. The poet wishes to reach souls who feel lost and alone to stand by them through her words. These poems dive into the many complex corners of an ordinary human mind and try to do them justice with the help of simple words and an eager heart. The poems are accompannied by illustrations --- ones eyes can tell us more than their lips ever can and so the poet has always been fascinated by them and has tried to express herself not only through words but also these abstract sketches only which can capture the abstract nature of a human soul.
