Published in 1847 under the pseudonym Elis Bell *Wuthering Heights* is the sole novel authored by Emily Bronte. Set in the mysterious moors of Yorkshire the novel challenges the ideals celebrated by the Victorian society. The story revolves around an orphan boy Heathcliff and Catherine his childhood playmate who turned out to be his soul mate. Their passionate love could not be tamed by the laws of the society and thus resulted into destruction and revenge.
