X-ray Crystallographic investigation of Pyrrole derivative

Pyrrole a heterocyclic aromatic organic compound having important function in fundamental metabolism of all life processes. Pyrrole and its derivatives are widely used as medicines agrochemicals dyes photographic chemicals perfumes and other organic compounds. As a part of on going programme of studying Systematically the structure-function relationship of biologically significant heterocyclic molecules so author has attempted to work out the three dimensional structure of a novel halogen (Iodo) derivative of pyrrole namely 2-Amino-1-(4-iodo-phenyl)-5-oxo-45-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester by X-ray diffraction technique.
