Xiamen urban transformation and social change

This ethnographic research addresses the city transformation and social change in a China's city. The case study focuses on the Siming district which is the contemporary and global city center of Xiamen (Amoy) as well. It has explored the urban structure of the city including culture as well as social system. It Aldo examines a particular characteristics of urban phenomena and the impact of global culture which has brought new aspects and new pattern life in the Siming district.
