Yes Mr. Monster

Zalim Singh nicknamed “Monster” by the people in the neighbouring villages is perhaps the last vestige of the feudal era—hugely-built domineering abusive and terrifying. He is difficult to access and talk to. He can’t stomach any opposition and insubordination. He expects unquestioned loyalty from those over whom he rules. But is he really so ? If you scratch his rough exteriors a bit you will find a soft kind and considerate soul underneath. He is fiercely possessive about his people and things. He doesn’t mind even murdering the tormentors oh his widowed sister for throwing her out of the family and dispossessing her after her husband’s untimely death. He also can’t see that the school which his ancestors had established and of which he is exceedingly possessive gets a bad report from the inspecting officers. He just can’t stand it as it stands for the family prestige. For the sake of restoring its ‘fair’ name(which it really never deserved) he stoops to the vilest means and manages to get a ‘clean’ chit from the high ups in the government. He willfully ignores the misdeeds of his own people on the school staff (as they used to report against the ‘critics’ of the school) and sees nothing wrong in misappropriating the government funds as the school is deemed to be his family asset. But evil deeds cannot be perpetuated and his nemesis catches up with him. ‘Accidental’ death of his son in a bike crash is a devastating experience for him. Was he paying for his ‘deeds’ ?
