<p>You Bet Your Life was a humorous quiz show that aired on radio starting in 1947 and then on television from 1950 to 1961. The show was hosted by Groucho Marx with his announcer George Fenneman.</p><p></p><p>This book is a continuation of that program with channeled messages from Groucho and his mostly more contemporary guests who are also physically deceased: John Lennon George Harrison Bob Hope Leslie Nielsen Gene Hackman George Burns Freddie Mercury Bob Newhart John Candy and George Carlin. </p><p></p><p>Similar to the television program Groucho asks each of the contestants one question in each round with a chance to win a prize if they say the secret word.
