<p>Our intention with creating a <strong>Work-Through-Book</strong> along with our story <em>You Can Always Talk to Possum at Life Forest</em> is to help caregivers support children who are grieving through tools and strategies to feel more comfortable addressing grief. This workbook is not intended to replace professional support but rather a way to help create conversation around this difficult topic. It is important to help children express their feelings and to understand that all feelings are valid. There is no normal way to grieve; everyone grieves in their own way. The story is told through the eyes of a child portrayed as a young chipmunk who has lost a beloved friend. Throughout the book the chipmunk will meet other forest creatures that will teach him about the stages of grief and model positive coping strategies for different feelings children may experience after a loss.
