You Can Be ME TOO! A week in the life of an Architect

<p><span style=color: rgba(0 0 0 1)>You Can Be ME TOO! A week in the life of an Architect is an informative conversation between a mother and a daughter about her career as an architect. Anjel has to prepare a paper and give a presentation for her Career Day classroom project. She receives detailed day by day insight into the profession and learns how exciting and creative the world of design and construction can be.</span></p><p></p><p>This children's storybook and coloring book is what<strong><u> I wish I had when I was a child</u></strong>. I loved playing with building blocks coloring and simply being creative. I found my love for architecture in high school. I received my architectural license in 2009 at that time <strong><u>I was one of the first 500 licensed African American Women Architects in the United States of America</u></strong> out of a profession of a little over 219000 registered architects (0.002%). <strong><u>This number is way too low.</u></strong> My storybook and coloring book are a testament of my journey in this profession. I am hopeful that they will bring awareness and inspiration for the next generation of future architects.</p>
