The pulpits of the Church of the Brethren are predominately filled by men. With a few exceptions most women pastors are Pastors of Visitation or of Christian Education and not in the pulpit as the Pastor of a church. Mary Jane's ministerial classes were also predominately men. A number of them felt they had only to attend and complete the basic requirements to become ordained. They were right. However as she found out this did not hold true for a woman.</p><i>You Can't Get There From Here!</i> is the personal story of a woman called by God into His ministry. It takes you step by step through her exciting yet frustrating journey. As she struggled to follow the leading of her Lord Satan seemed to do everything in his power to stop her. Walk with her as time and time again she stepped out in faith-placing her future in God's hands. </p>While at times it was difficult to relive the experience family and friends encouraged her to write this book. </p>In January 2006 Mary Jane was re-licensed into the ministry at the West Shore Church of the Brethren.
