This is a collection of light essays like a fresh bloom in the garden of literature. These are writings shaped with care and delicacy the offerings of a quiet attentive soul. Most are brief—rarely exceeding two pages—but in their brevity lies their breadth. Though they may not conform to the traditional four- eight-page Mold these pieces of prose breathe the spirit of the essay: distilled resonant and imaginative. In his preface the author affectionately refers to them as Nibandhika—a diminutive form of the essay in the same way a sonnet contains oceans within a handful of lines.
