Young people in Cameroon tested by the musical language Bikutsi

About The Book

SUMMARYA privileged vector of the feelings and emotions of the people through the ages music is present in the songs of birds the wind the roar of the waves and remains firmly attached with fervor and loyalty to our daily life. In Cameroon we sing when we are happy and we still sing when our hearts are in pain. The authors examine Bikutsi music one of the key rhythms of Cameroonian song which beyond the play of instruments that has remained typical knows a deterioration of its language as well as the choreographies that accompany it. Highly appreciated by young people and disseminated in the media and leisure spaces this music has catastrophic effects on the attitudes and behavior of its consumers. The book is addressed to all actors in Cameroonian society and particularly to the promoters of the musical art and the youth positioning itself as a plea in favor of the youth and the whole society. The authors wish by this work to contribute to the fight against the depravity of morals in the youth and to restore the image of Bikutsi music.
