Youth welfare against the background of the labeling perspective

One of the central topics in social work is the discussion about social participation and exclusion processes. In addition to many different theories in this area the labeling perspective can be classified as one of the central theories for considering deviant behavior. As will be shown the labeling perspective can be used not only to identify mechanisms of participation or exclusion. Rather the labeling perspective offers the opportunity to critically reflect on structural mechanisms in social work and society in terms of their impact.
