From its genesis in North Korea Z7R2 is racing around the world unchallenged a fatal virus infecting tens of millions. The world is now severed into two partitions: those who must wear a red mask to show their infected status and those with white masks who give the reds a wide berth. The world's pharmaceutical companies scramble with little success to unearth a treatment or vaccine. After an appeal from their friend FBI agent Matthew Johnson Jon Levine and Alyssa Martin join the hunt for a way to combat this deadly disease.
