Zara's First Period

Zara is ten almost eleven. She enjoys playing with her friends and her little brother. She also loves cooking and making Adire with her mother which is the art of tying cotton cloth with twine and dipping it in vibrant coloured dye to make lovely patterns. Zara has just been offered a scholarship to one of the best schools in the country and is about to start secondary school! Her parents are very proud of her and Zara is very excited to be going on a new adventure. That is until one morning when she wakes up and discovers something very frightening that will change her life forever and marks the end of her childhood!
