A linguist George Zipf-who was an American linguist and philologist and studied statistical occurrences in different languages realized something unusual about how frequently people using words in a language. After that George Zipf recognised that a small number of words are used all time by comparing a large amount of these words which are used so rarely. Then George Zipf arranged those words using their popularity then a wonderful design performed. The number one which is the the most used word in English was always used twice as often as the second list word and three times as often as the third list. Nowadays theory of probability is widely used in different fields of research areas. And one of the branches of this theory- Zippf’s law has an important role in probability. Zipf’s Law is a common law applied for different kinds of observations. Many investigations were carried out to find the correspondences between Zipf’s Law and different real-life situations. This study deals with the correspondence of cities and population.
