A Horse's Tale

The story is set during the Philippine-American War and it follows the adventures of Soldier Boy who is initially a cavalry horse in the United States Army. After a series of mishaps and misunderstandings Soldier Boy ends up on the Filipino side of the conflict. The novella explores themes of war loyalty and the absurdities of human behavior through the eyes of the horse.Throughout the narrative Soldier Boy offers his observations and commentary on the humans he encounters shedding light on the ironies and contradictions of human nature.
