Stray Birds

In Stray Birds concepts about nature humanity and the environment are explored through the eyes of a man watching summer stray birds sing and fly past his window. These brief occasionally one-line poems are frequently just an image or the distillation of a thought but unlike birds they do not readily fly away from the memory. One of India's best poets Rabindranath Tagore the author won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1913. He also composed the national anthems of Bangladesh and independent India. He published more than 50 volumes of poetry but he also wrote effectively in all other literary genres.
